Queulat Single Vineyard wines are the creation of winemaker Sergio Hormazabal, the fruit of his passion and commitment to excellence, conceived from the very beginning with fine cuisine in mind.

These are wines that bring perfection to every occasion, elegant wines with character and balance, made even more special by an ageing regimen in French oak. Seven varietals are showcased at their best, creating infinite possibilities for foodpairing. Thus, we are able to achieve that moment of perfect balance.

Queulat wines take their name from southern Chile's most spectacular hanging glacier, a sight that is both imposing and elegant. Extensive research on terroir in Casablanca(for whites and Pinot Noir) and in the Maipo Valley (for reds) allows us to highlight every variety at its best, with oak as a backdrop for each grape's unique personality.

Sauvignon Blanc / 2012

Tasting Notes

This Sauvignon Blanc Gran Reserva has a crystalline aspect with light-green hues and a complex, elegant bouquet, which blends citric and tropical fruits such as grapefruit, pineapple and dessert pear, complemented with mineral touches. In mouth it is fresh, well-balanced with a rich acidity and soft body, where citric and tropical fruits reappear with mineral finish that delivers complexity and elegance.

Best enjoyed at a temperature of 10-12° C.

Foodpairing: This wine is ideally paired with salads, shellfish, cebiches and mild, white fish in lime or lemon preparations. It goes wonderfully with fresh cheese or cream-based dishes and white meats, but can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
