Viña Ventisquero: Named Best Chilean Producer at the Berliner Wein Trophy

Our winery has once again stood out in an international competition.

This time we won first place at the Berliner Wein Trophy. This competition, which began in 2004, has grown to become one of the world’s most important winetasting events, enjoying the patronage of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE).

For this, the winter 2019 edition, 1,426 participants from 41 countries presented their products to an international panel of experts, who scored them and awarded “Large Gold”, “Gold” and “Silver” medals.

Attesting to the consistent quality of our wines, Viña Ventisquero received one of the Special Prizes, entering the Golden League as Best Chilean Producer. This award takes into account the results of the winter 2018 and summer 2018 editions.

In the Ventisquero line of wines, Reserva Alma de los Andes Carménère 2017 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 were both awarded gold medals. They were joined by another 10 Viña Ventisquero wines, which also gained gold.
