Viña Ventisquero begins 2019 with excellent scores from Tim Atkin

At Viña Ventisquero we got the year off to a great start with excellent scores from the British critic and Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, following his visit to our winery in December 2018.

Five of our high-end wines each scored an outstanding 95 points: Ventisquero Enclave 2014 from the Maipo Valley; Ventisquero Pangea 2015 and Ventisquero Vértice 2016, both from Apalta; Ventisquero Tara White Wine 1 2017 from the Atacama Valley and Kalfu Sumpai Syrah 2017 from the Leyda Valley.

The scores achieved by the Tara line reaffirm this project to produce wines in the Atacama Desert. This is demonstrated by Tara White Wine 2 Viognier with 94 points, Tara Red Wine 2 Syrah with 93 points and Tara Red Wine 1 Pinot Noir with 92 points.

These results show the consistency and solid performance of the winery. They also reveal the quality and consistency of Ventisquero’s high-end wines, as well as showcasing the great diversity of our portfolio, with its broad range of varieties and terroirs of origin.

The Ventisquero Grey line got an honourable mention for continuing to delight with its consistent quality, with wines earning between 90 and 94 points.
